Image to Layered SVG Creator converts a flat image into clean, colour-separated vector layers you can print as stickers, coasters, keychains, embossing plates, and more. A few minutes of cleanup here saves rework in every other creator.
1. Start with a high-resolution JPG or PNG
- Prefer a sharp PNG or high-quality JPG — soft, tiny screenshots produce ragged paths.
- Flat artwork (icons, clip art, posters with solid colours) traces cleaner than photos with heavy gradients or blur.
- If the background is plain white, leave Background removal on so exterior white is stripped from the stack.
- Aim for at least ~1000 px on the long edge when you can; tiny sources lose leaf veins and thin strokes.
2. Convert and review layers
- Open Templates → Image to Layered SVG Creator (or start a new design).
- Drop your JPG/PNG, set number of layers and conversion mode, then update layers.
- Use Assembled and Exploded previews to see the craft stack (solid base first, colour layers on top).
- Tweak colour with the layer colour pickers — this carries into download and handoff.
3. Want a single layer? Hide or delete the rest
Many products (charms, magnets, suncatchers with a single silhouette) work best with one design layer. You do not have to re-convert — trim the stack in place:
- In Layers, click the eye icon on any layer you do not want in the exported SVG — hidden layers are omitted from download and “Continue in a creator”.
- Or use the trash icon on a layer to delete it entirely from the design (keep at least one layer).
- Optional Cleanup mode lets you delete tiny regions inside a layer if scraps remain.
- Download SVG only after the remaining layer(s) look right.
4. Continue in any SVG creator — a few clicks
When the SVG looks good, you do not need to leave the app and re-upload by hand:
- Click Continue in a creator under your layers panel.
- Search and pick any product that accepts SVG upload (Layered SVG to 3D, Coaster Maker, Charm Maker, Embossing Folder, and the rest of the catalog).
- We open a new project with your SVG already loaded — adjust sizes, hardware, and export there.
You can still Download SVG and upload the file yourself in any template’s SVG picker if you prefer full control.
Or browse all templates that accept SVG under Templates.
