Printer & Slicer Compatibility

EverFree 3D creates standard digital files for your 3D-printing workflow. Customize your design, export it, then open the files in your slicer to prepare the print for your specific machine and material.

EverFree 3D exports standard 3D-print file formats designed to be used with common slicers and FDM/FFF printing workflows.

EverFree 3D does not replace your slicer or send jobs directly to your printer. The normal workflow is: design → export files → open in slicer → configure print → send to printer.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Design in EverFree 3D

Customize your template and preview the result.

  2. Step 2

    Export your files

Download STL, 3MF and other supported files for that template.

  3. Step 3

    Open them in your slicer

Choose orientation, material, supports and other printer-specific settings.

  4. Step 4

    Print on your machine

Send the prepared job from your slicer to your printer.

Which file should I use?

3MF

Use the 3MF when you want the richest version of the design. Depending on the template, it may preserve multiple objects, parts or colour assignments that are useful in compatible slicers. Not every 3MF includes colour information.

STL

STL contains the printable geometry and works well when you want a simple, widely supported 3D model. Some templates include multiple STL files when parts need to be printed or assembled separately.

SVG

SVG is included only for templates that support 2D vector workflows, such as compatible laser, cutting or design applications. It is not a normal FDM slicer input.

ZIP

When multiple files are required, EverFree 3D packages them together in a ZIP download.

EverFree 3D designs use millimetre-based dimensions for standard 3D-print workflows.

Which slicer can I use?

EverFree 3D exports standard STL and 3MF files intended for common 3D-printing slicers. Your slicer determines how the design is prepared for your specific printer.

EverFree 3D is not tied to one printer brand or slicer. Standard STL files can be used in many slicers; support for advanced 3MF features can vary.

Common slicers that can work with standard STL/3MF workflows include:

  • Bambu Studio
  • OrcaSlicer
  • PrusaSlicer
  • Cura

Exact support for colours, multiple objects and 3MF metadata can vary between slicers. These names are examples of common tools — not a certification list.

Do I need an AMS or multi-material system?

Not always. It depends on the template and how you want to print it. Many multi-colour designs can be printed as separate parts, with optional multi-material hardware, or sometimes with manual filament changes — templates explain which workflows they support.

  • Coloured 3MF: useful when your slicer and multi-material hardware can map design colours to loaded filament.
  • Separate parts: print each STL in a different colour and assemble afterward — no automatic multi-material system required.
  • Single colour: many templates remain printable in one filament colour.

Colours shown in EverFree 3D represent the design. Match them to available filament in your slicer or printing workflow — screen colours are not exact filament matches, and slicer support for colour assignments can vary.

What material can I use?

Most EverFree 3D designs are intended for standard FDM/FFF printing workflows. The best material depends on the product, your printer and how the finished item will be used.

PLA

PLA is a common choice for decorative prints, signs, toppers, charms and many everyday designs.

PETG

PETG may be useful when extra toughness, temperature resistance or moisture resistance is desirable.

Material safety, food-contact suitability and printer cleanliness depend on the material, printer, post-processing and local requirements. EverFree 3D does not certify a printed object as food-safe solely because the design can be exported.

Do the files include print settings?

EverFree 3D creates the design files. You still choose printer-specific settings such as layer height, infill, supports, wall count, speed and material profile in your slicer.

Whether supports are needed depends on the design, orientation and your printer settings. Review the model in your slicer before starting the print.
